The wedding day Brande and Travis had been waiting for finally came to fruition. And what a beautiful day it was. There were many happy tears, smiles and laughter to go around as Brande and Travis were surrounded by close family and friends to celebrate with them.

Their wedding film follows their day from getting ready, to first look, to the ceremony and dinner afterwards. Everyone enjoyed the calm waters of Lake Superior and the beautiful sunshine. Just what you would ask for on your wedding day. We were so humbled to be a part of the team tasked with capturing their wedding day.

MEET THE COUPLE

HOW DID YOU GUYS MEET?

10 years ago at an Italian restaurant called Yarusso Brothers we met for our first date and never looked back. We sometimes go back for an anniversary dinner.
Travis was outside the restaurant polishing his Harley motorcycle when I walked up. I am positive he was trying to look cool (I guess it worked.)

WHY DO YOU WANT US TO CAPTURE YOUR BLUEFIN BAY WEDDING DAY?

We would like to have our wedding captured in video because people always tell us it goes by so fast and we don’t want to miss anything 🙂 Also when people talk about things they wish they had done, not having a video is a common regret.
I think it will be fun to rewatch it in the future for our kids and for us. I am sure we will feel grateful and blessed to have had that time with our friends and family.

TELL US ABOUT THE PROPOSAL (EVERY DETAIL)

Travis proposed to me on April 19, 2014. We were on a family vacation with his parents and brothers families over Easter in Wisconsin Dells. We had picked out the ring previously, but I did not know when he was going to ask. His whole family and the girls knew he was going to ask me. He asked me to go on a walk and he asked me on a wooden bridge we were crossing. The girls (who were 9 & 7 at the time) were waiting for us after the walk and were so excited!

This is wedding 2.0 because after starting to plan it the first time we found out we were pregnant with our son who is now 6 yrs old.

WHEN YOU’RE NOT IN FULL WEDDING MODE, WHAT DO YOU DO?

We own our own business with a small trucking company.
We love to go to the cabin, camping, boating, ATV riding and watching the kids sports in our free time. As a family we like to go to movies and play games.
An ideal day would be coffee on the deck after sleeping in, spending the day together, heading out with kids to get dinner and ice cream and a backyard bonfire (w/ NO bugs).

WHY DID YOU CHOOSE BLUEFIN BAY RESORT FOR YOUR WEDDING VENUE?

We chose Bluefin Bay because we love to spend time on the North Shore whether we are at a resort or camping. We love the lake in all seasons and feel like it has been a special part of our relationship and family.

TELL ME ABOUT YOUR VISION FOR YOUR BLUEFIN BAY WEDDING DAY ITSELF.

I think we just want a laid back and relaxed day with our family and friends. We tried to keep it simple and family focused. Since it is a destination wedding we are hoping our guests get to spend some time reconnecting with their own families as well as with us. We hope the spend some time doing things that give them the same appreciation for the area that we have.
We hope it will be a weekend of fun and relaxation.

IS THERE A HONEYMOON PLANNED?

We will be staying on at Bluefin through the week following the wedding after everyone else heads home (including he kids 🙂

We plan to explore, hike some waterfalls, and enjoy some quiet time together because we have a pretty busy and chaotic life with 2 teenagers, a 6 yr old, 2 dogs and 4 chickens at home.

WHERE DO YOU SEE YOURSELVES IN 10 YEARS TIME?

Who knows… we could be grandparents by then and still have teenager at home, lol. I hope we are still doing what we have been doing the last ten years, enjoying our family and taking the time out to appreciate each other and our many blessings!
